We are less than 1.5 hours from major airports in Charlotte and Greensboro. And less than 5 hours from major beaches such as Myrtle Beach, Carolina Beach and North Carolina Outer Banks. Caldwell County is a great place to live with four distinct yet moderate seasons. Our public schools & Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute offer fine education.

Pisgah National Forest which features Grandfather Mountain sets on 50,000 acres of natural scenery. Our area lakes & mountain streams offer great bass & trout fishing and boating. Wilson Creek Gorge, a nationally designated "Wild and Scenic River" wilderness area for the outdoor adventurers to enjoy rock climbing, swimming, canoeing, camping, hiking, tubing, fly fishing and picnicking.

Like to golf? We also have several fine golf courses that offer golf year around. Downtown Lenoir has lots of festivals and events going on at the square year around plus fine restaurants to dine in. There are ice cream shops, book stores, antique shops and clothing boutique to name just a few.
